The Spital Boughton c1810 picture is also reproduced on Steve Howe’s excellent ‘Chester: A Virtual Stroll Around the Walls’ site, but unfortunately no information is given about the artist. Furthermore, a Google image search advises it is by an ‘unknown artist in the British School’.
